KANE - If UFO's have no gospel answer, could I mention what our Stake Patriarch told us in a meeting a while back? He mentioned UFO's as being controlled by the evil world of Satan and his followers as a distraction from the worship of Father in Heaven. That intrigued me so much I was hoping to learn more and always liked your answers. I will understand if you have no answer. I don't either.
JOEL - Neither do I, but I do have an opinion. God has told us "world's without number have I created" (Moses 1: 33)So we know there are other children of God out there somewhere. To quote Carl Sagan, "The universe is a pretty big place. If it's just us, seems like an awful waste of space."
I don't think we need a gospel answer to explain UFOs(UAPs unidentified aerial phenomena), a scientific answer would suffice. I don't think Satan has anything to do with it. I have never heard any church leader make the same claim as your stake president. UFO's do exist but only because we don't know what they are and there really is no solid scientific evidence that they come from anywhere outside our own world.
For an alien race to travel to our world it would require technology that would allow speeds faster than the speed of light, which, as far as we know, is impossible.
As far as I know, the only ETs that have ever visited this world are God and a few angels.
