GRACE - Where in the bible that i can find that the apostles recieve the priesthood authority?
JOEL - After Jesus was baptized by John He conferred upon His apostles the higher or Melchizedek priesthood,
Jesus said to His Apostles:
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." (John 15:16)
"And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,br>
And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:" (Mark 3:14-15)
"And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Matt 16: 19)
The Apostle Paul spoke of how Jesus organized His church when He was with them,
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" (Eph 4: 10-12)
These positions would have required them to have been given priesthood authority.
