CYREL - I have a question about the bible in proverb 30:4, if the creator is Jehovah (also supported with this verse), the one who ascended and descended, then who is his son's name?? can you further explain the said verse?
JOEL - Here is the scripture:
"Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?" (Proverbs 30:4)
This verse is mostly just a list of rhetorical questions meant to demonstrate motal man's inability to comprehend the nature of God, although it does hint at a relationship between God the Father and Jesus.
"His Son's name" is of course Jesus Christ or Jehovah. Jesus is the creator of the Universe, but He did it under direction of God the Father. Therefore God the Father is also the creator of all things. An architect might point to a building and truthfully tell someone, "I built that". He may have designed it but of course other people actually built it.
We must also consider the fact that the word "Jehovah" is not just a name we associate with Jesus, it is also a title that can also be applied to God the Father. There are places in the Bible where God the Father is refered to as Jehovah (eg Psalms 110). One must consider the context to tell which one is being spoken of.
