JOEL - God now resides in His own kingdom which is the same place where the premortal spirit world is now(Abr. 3:21-23). This is a different place from the post mortal spirit world or Paradise where spirits go after people die. The Celestial Kingdom for us will not exist until after the final judgement and we receive our eternal reward. Our scriptures tell us that this earth in its "sanctified, immortal, and eternal state" will become a celestial sphere (D&C 88:19-20; 130:9).
