JOEL - Lamoni's father was the head king over all the land of the Lamanites and Lamoni served as a subordinate king over the Land of Ishmael, also a Lamanite territory. We are never told in the Book of Mormon what Lamoni's father's name was. Of course, a similar situation occurs with the brother of Jared, who is also never identified with a name in The Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith later identified him as Mohonri Moriancumer. However, I know of no documents that report of Joseph Smith's mentioning of what Lamoni's father's name was.
