I am a scientist, and therefore tend to be somewhat analytical in my approach when I study anything. I have read and studied the Book of Mormon for many years in great detail. I have noticed how it interweaves dozens of complex stories and patterns with great consistency and never contradicts itself. This complexity makes it hard for me to believe that anyone in the nineteenth century could have written it; especially an uneducated farm boy such as Joseph Smith.
This, however, is not the primary reason why I am convinced of its authenticity as a true ancient document. When I invite the Spirit of God to attend me as I read, I realize that no single man could have written this book without the divine help of God. I am convinced that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power and influence of God. Through reading this book I have been able to learn about and more fully understand the mission of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I have found many answers to questions I have about why I am here, how I can have a happier life, and what I need to do to return to my Heavenly Father.
It is my hope that you will read the Book of Mormon with an open mind and a small seed of faith so that you can find some answers that will help you live a happier and more meaningful life.
