JOEL - These are interesting items, but there is a high probability that these and others like them are not true ancient artifacts, but are actually forgeries. I believe the LDS church leader and scientist, James E. Talmage, examined some of them and came to this conclusion. This is probably why the church has not made any statements about them one way or the other. Please check out the article at this site.
